ABOUT SALT:
StoneWorks Arts Leadership Training is a conference to equip you as a Christian artist. Daily sessions and group breakout times will focus on your personal and spiritual development as an individual and as an artist. Each afternoon, there will be free time for you to focus on artistic development, practice your art, connect more deeply with those around you—including Belhaven arts professors—or just relax.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TRANSPORTATION:
Volunteers will be available to drive you to and from the airport, or you may arrange your own transportation. If you want to be picked up, you need to give the registrar your arrival information.
NOTE: If you arrive before Sunday, you will need to arrange your own accommodations locally.

REGISTRATION:
Registration will begin at 4pm on Sunday in Wells Hall. (See Belhaven Campus Map.)
A $20 security deposit for your room key and access card will be due at registration. Please bring exact change! This deposit will be refunded to you when you return your original key and card at the end of the week.

HOUSING:
Students and staff will be staying in Wells Hall at Belhaven University, sleeping two-to-a-room. As it is a college dorm, bedding and linens are not provided. Remember to bring your own sheets (extra long twin), pillow, towels, etc.
Bring a warm blanket–Mississippi may be warm, but the air conditioning can be very cold!
Wireless Internet will be available in the dorm lobby.

DINING:
We will be eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Belhaven University Dining Commons. If you have not already done so, please let us know about any special food concerns.
NOTE: Sunday dinner and Friday lunch are not included in the Conference cost. You may buy a meal from the Dining Commons ($6), or eat somewhere in town.

PARKING:
Parking at Belhaven is free. Students will be directed to parking when they register.

WEATHER & CONDITIONS:
In July, Mississippi is bound to be hot and humid, often with on-and-off rain. Everything indoors is air-conditioned so bring a sweater or you may be too cold! Wear comfortable shoes, as we’ll be walking quite a bit around campus.

WHAT TO BRING:
• Bible, journal/notebook & pen.
• Warm bedding and a change of warm clothes–Mississippi will be warm, but the air conditioning can be very cold!
• Toiletries (you may want shower shoes)
• Art portfolio/things to share.
• Artistic materials (musical instruments, sketchbooks, dance shoes, cameras, etc.)—music practice rooms and art studios will be available to you throughout the conference.
